    The Chowdown in Powhatan Freedom Festival is a charity event featuring a car show, kid zone with inflatables, mechanical bulls, arts and crafts, and more. Enjoy libations on the lawn with beer, wine, mixed drinks and a variety of food truck options all day, plus live music and a DJ. Fireworks at dusk. It all takes place at the Powhatan Fairgrounds.   • LIGHT UP THE NIGHT

    Henrico’s Red, White & Lights celebration returns to Meadow Farm. Live entertainment on the main stage will begin at 4:15 p.m. with a performance by Big Bang Boom, a three-piece children’s musical group. At 6 p.m., pop singer Deau Eyes will take the stage, The Richmond Symphony’s performance will begin at 8:15 p.m.. The laser-light show will begin around 9:30 p.m. It will not include fireworks.
